Indian Institute of Technology (IIM) Madras is a public engineering institute located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is one of India's most prestigious universities. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. The National Center for Catalysis Research (NCCR) at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras is established by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India in April 2006.
