Re: National institute of aero
As per your request I am providing you the details about the National institute of aerospace (NIA). Hope till information is sufficient for you About NIA: The National Institute of Aerospace conducts leading edge scientific and engineering research in seven broad technical areas of interest to NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC): Revolutionary Aerospace Systems Concepts, and Analysis Planetary Capture and Entry Technology Aerodynamics,Aerothermodynamics and Acoustics Structures and Materials Airborne Systems Atmospheric and Vehicle Sensor System Technology; and Atmospheric Chemistry and Radiation Science. Aerospace engineering is concerned with the design, construction, and science of aircraft and spacecraft. It is divided into two major and overlapping branches: aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering. The sub disciplines of Aerospace Engineering are: AERODYNAMICS FLIGHT DYNAMICS AND CONTROL PROPULSION SYSTEMS DESIGN Graduate programs: The Aerospace Engineering Department offers a broad program in graduate studies leading to the degrees of Master of Science (thesis and non-thesis) and Doctor of Philosophy. Graduate students can choose from the following areas of specialization: aerodynamics and propulsion structural mechanics and composites rotorcraft space systems flight dynamics, stability and control Following scholarships are provided to engineering students: Clark School Scholarships (link is external) UMD Office of Student Financial Aid (link is external) Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (link is external) Maryland Higher Education Commission Scholarships for Veterans UM National Scholarship Office UM Financial Aid Office Following are the graduate courses available: ENAE 601 Astrodynamics (3 credits) Dynamics and Control (3 credits) ENAE 631 Helicopter Aerodynamics I (3 credits) ENAE 632 Helicopter Aerodynamics II (3 credits) ENAE 633 Helicopter Dynamics (3 credits) ENAE 634 Helicopter Design (3 credits) ENAE 635 Helicopter Stability and Control (3 credits) ENAE 641 Linear System Dynamics (3 credits) ENAE 642 Atmospheric Flight Control (3 credits) ENAE 651 Smart Structures (3 credits) ENAE 652 Computational Structural Mechanics (3 credits) ENAE 653 Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis of Continua (3 credits) Contact: National Institute of Aerospace Headquarters 100 Exploration Way Hampton, VA 23666 NIA Research and Innovation Laboratories 1100 Exploration Way Hampton, VA 23666 Phone: +1.757.325.6700 map |
