National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY), settled in the scenes of Karaikal, a beach front enclave in the bowl of stream Kaveri is one among the ten new NITs in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Despite the young age, NIT-Py is resolved to create successful and capable technocrats who can serve the country on its trip to development and thriving.

In this procedure, understudies have been conceded from the scholarly year 2010-11 onwards through JEE Mains with half of seats held for the hopefuls having living arrangement/local at Puducherry Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and the staying half seats are filled on all India premise.

The foundation gives sharp direction as far as experienced and master resources and in addition offices to shape the brilliant personalities into professionally adjusted people, sufficiently able to take up difficulties of nature, of society and of the commercial center. Directly, 30 employees alongside 20 non-showing staff are utilized for a general quality of 295 understudies. Understudies are presented to the most current and up and coming educational programs and contemporary advancements in different orders of designing.
