NDA was conducted by UPSC. The joining process in NDA is based on its written exam and after interview steps. Candidates are selected in two steps.

To join National Defence Academy a candidate must appear in the entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi, and twice a year.

The Union Public Service Commission is exclusively responsible for issuing guidelines for selection and the final conduct of the entrance examination.

UPSC conducts NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam in Two Stages.

Interview

Selection in those tests candidates are invited for Intelligence and Personality Test.

Written exam stage 1 comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be short listed based on combination of performance in QIR Test and PP and DT.

And interview process Stage II Comprises of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days.

Qualification:
12th Class of 10+2 System of Education/Equivalent for Army and with Physics and Maths for AF & Navy
