This Behavioral Sciences Training (BST) program is the largest pre- and postdoctoral training program supported by the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health (NDRI). It is one of many such programs funded by Congress via the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA). This BST program is administered by Public Health Solutions, the largest non-profit organization providing public health services and conducting health-related research in New York City. FELLOWSHIPS PI/Program Director: Gregory P. Falkin, PhD Scientific Director: George De Leon, PhD BEHAVIORAL SCIENTISTS: This program is primarily designed to advance the scientific careers of behavioral scientists in a variety of fields and disciplines, such as anthropology, criminology, criminal justice, epidemiology, psychology, public health, sociology, and social work. Behavioral sciences may also include other disciplines such as economics, education, geography, history, law, medicine, neuropsychology, nursing, statistics, as well as a variety of interdisciplinary fields such as human development, sociomedical sciences, or urban studies that are sponsored by specific doctoral-degree granting institutions.
