Trauma Clinical Psychologist Position

Job Description

Seeking Clinical Psychologist to fulfill clinical, educational and research needs for Air Force Medical Services cooperative agreement with MHRF.

The clinical Psychologist will focus on diagnosis, effects and treatment of trauma through developing Air Force Medical Services trauma research programs, and will have primary role in development and production of MHRF research symposiums.

Job Profile :

Provides support services and educational advancement to a variety of medical professionals

Participates in research and development activities to investigate effects of trauma disorders on participants and their families, and to investigate programs/interventions to promote successful readjustment

Focuses on investigation, evaluation and improvement of mental and behavioral disorders, prevention of mental illness and promotion of effective mental health.
Utilizes established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data

Writes technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.

Provides trauma informed/evidence based treatment and family-centered approach to participants and families. Also provides clinical care and support services, as well as community education and innovative research.

Applies psychological principles, theories, methods and techniques through direct services, consultation, education and research.

Assists in recruiting, screening, consent, and scheduling.

Tracks and monitors participants participation in the treatment programs.

Requirements
Requires a doctorate degree in Psychology or related fields.
Experience in the area of military, veterans, family, trauma, prevention and/or research

Experience delivering trauma informed behavioral interventions to clients in individual and group settings.

Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.

Previous experience running clinical trials and/or conducting clinical research projects.
