Nehru Gram Bharati University (NGBU) or Nehru Gram Bharati Vishwavidyalaya (NGBV) is a self financed Deemed University. Legislature of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, vide its Notification No. F-9-42/2005-u.3 (A) dated 27th June 2008, influenced dream to extend of Late Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru a reality by telling Nehru Gram Bharati Vishwavidyalaya under segment 3 of UGC Act 1956. With this notice Rajiv Gandhi Post Graduate College, Kotwa - Jamunipur, Allahabad stands lifted to the status of Vishwavidyalaya from the session 2008-2009. NGBU is additionally a general public enrolled under social orders Registration Act. 1860 and is exempted from Income Tax u/s 80G vide enrollment No. 58-59/359/12AA and 80G(5)(VI)/still/Allahabad -/2007-08.
