Netaji Subhash Institute Of Technology Delhi is an Autonomous Institution under Govt. of NCT of Delhi and is affiliated to University of Delhi. It was established in the year 1983 as Delhi Institute of Technology so as to meet the growing demands of manpower in the emerging fields of engineering and technology in the region. The institute has the following divisions and the schools – Divisions 1.Division of Electronics and Communications Engineering 2. Division of Computer Engineering 3. Division of Instrumentation and Control Engineering 4. Division of Manufacturing Processes and Automation 5. Division of Information Technology 6. Division of Bio-Technology Schools 1. School of Applied Science The institute offers the following courses- B.E.- (Full-Time) Electronics and Communication Engineering Computer Engineering Instrumentation and Control Engineering Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering Information Technology Bio-Technology Here are the details of the Phd admission to the institute – Eligibility Criteria Candidates must have the Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline (ECE, COE, ICE, MPAE, IT) Securing 70% or more marks in aggregate and Masters Degree in Science or Equivalent in relevant area of Applied Sciences & Bio-Technology in accordance with Ordinance VI-B, University of Delhi (displayed on Institute website) securing 70% or more marks in aggregate mission to get the admission to the course. The candidates possessing Master degree with 60% or more marks who are eligible for Ph.D. degree as per ordinance VI B of University of Delhi may also apply for admission for Ph.D. at the institute degree but they will be admitted without scholarship at the institute. Procedure For Admission A written test will be organized on department level (Irrespective of with/without fellowship) which will have multiple choice questions of one hour duration. The selection of the short listed candidates after written test shall be made by the selection committee of the respective department. The final selection will be made on the basis of the performance of the candidate in written test, power point presentation (7 to 10 minutes on any area of his/her interest preferably research area) and Interview of the aspirant at the institute. Interviews will be held in July – Aug. 2014. Candidates selected for admission to the Ph.D. Programme will have to subsequently apply to the University of Delhi for Ph.D registration as per University Rules and will have to complete the course work as per the ordinance VI B of University of Delhi. Candidate appearing in the qualifying exams must ensure that their final results (with requisite marks) are declared before the date of Interview at the institute (probably in July-Aug 2014) otherwise they will not be allowed to appear before the selection board to get the admission . Documents Required At The Time Of Written Test/Interview • Printout of application form duly signed by the candidate along with a passport size photograph. • Original receipt of application fee of Rs. 1000/- paid by the candidate and its photocopy. • Identity Proof(Passport/Aadhar card/Driving licence/Voter ID/ PAN card) • Original and self attested copy of GATE Score (if applicable). • Original and self attested copy of both Mark sheet and Degree of qualifying examination (M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc.). • Original and self attested copy of class 10th certificate/ Mark-sheet in support of Date of Birth. • Proof of CGPA/FGPA conversion to Percentage (if applicable). • Original copy of Medical fitness certificate for all. • If employed earlier relieving certificate of the employer.
