The first option is that if you do not want to study any further then there is deck cadet job for you to apply in which the salary won't be great but good enough. The Second is direct Entry which I will discuss below So here in response of your question I am providing the various related details for this course: Eligibility 1. You should have completed 12th with PCM. 2. You should be unmarried 3. The age limit is 20 years. 4. SC and ST can apply till 25 years. 5. You will have to pass a medical test. 6. Physical requirements will have to be met such as at least 5 feet height, 6/6 vision etc. You can complete the Marine Engineering or B.Sc in Nautical Science and then apply for some officer level jobs in marine engineering. Direct Entry As I mentioned earlier, after completing 12th you can apply for the deck cadet job so if a company selects you then it will arrange a 3 months long pre-sea training for you. If you have completed B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Technology then also you are eligible for several officer level jobs in Merchant Navy.
