Ph.D. Programme offered by Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR)? Integrated (Int.) Ph.D. Programme is offered only for the August session of admissions in Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR). The advertisement for admission is released only during February/March every year. Eligibility Criteria and Mode of Selection Materials Science: One with Bachelor degree in any branch of Science can apply. One is expected to have sound knowledge in the fundamentals of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. One who has qualified the JAM written test for Master is invited to apply. Selection Selection will be through the Joint Admission test for Master's (JAM) and/or JNCASR’s written test, followed by interview at Bangalore for the short listed candidates. The JNCASR written test for Materials Science will be held only at JNCASR, Bangalore. Interviews for the short listed candidates will be held the same day or the following day. Chemical Science: One with Bachelor degree in any branch of Science with Chemistry as a major and mathematics as a subject at least up to PUC (10+2 level) can apply. One who has qualified for the JAM written test for Master is invited to apply. Selection Selection will be through the Joint Admission test for Master's (JAM) and/or JNCASR’s written test, followed by interview at Bangalore for the short listed candidates. The JNCASR written entrance test for Chemical Science will be held only at JNCASR, Bangalore. Interviews for the short listed candidates will be held the same day or the following day. Biological Science: One with Bachelor degree in any branch of Science can apply. Selection Selection will be through JNCASR’s written test, followed by interview at Bangalore for the short listed candidates. The JNCASR written entrance test for Biological Science will be held only at JNCASR, Bangalore. The candidates short listed from the written test will be called for interview the same day or the next day. |
