National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is a National Apex body for Training and Human Resources Development in Power Sector with its Corporate Office at Faridabad. B. Tech. / B.E. in Power Engineering Eligibility One is eligible for admission to B-Tech (Power Engineering) at NPTI (ER), Durgapur subject to the following conditions: a] One should pass the Higher Secondary Exam (10+2) of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education with English, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics or an equivalent exam. For Lateral entry, one should pass the diploma in Mech- /Elect. Engg from Govt. approved polytechnic college. b] One should maintain good mental and physical health. There should be no abnormality in heart, Lungs and vision. c] One should have to qualify in the Joint Entrance Exam, of the year of admission, conducted by the West Bengal Board of Exam for Admission to Engineering and Technological Degree Colleges. d] One will have to submit school leaving / Migration Certificate / Continuity Certificate as the case may be, within a specified date; otherwise the provisional admission of one will stand automatically concealed.
