| Harsh Pandit | Is there Negative Marking in UPSEE Can you tell me if there is an option for negative marking in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) as I want to prepare for the exam accordingly? Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) is conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. It is conducted across all major cities of Uttar Pradesh and some selected cities in other states. One can choose UPSEE Exam Centre as per their convenience while filling the application form. There will be no negative marking in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). UPSEE 2016 Marking Scheme: • Every objective multiple type question carry 4 marks for each correct answer. • More than one answers indicated against the question is considered as incorrect answer and no marks is awarded for that. • There is no negative marking in the entrance exam. • But, a record of incorrect answers given is kept separately during checking of answer sheets. • One is required to answer all objective type questions in UPSEE on a specially designed OMR answer sheet against the respective question number. • Candidates are supposed to select only one choice for correct answer in each question. • One needs to mark answers using ballpoint pen (black / blue) only. The details filled in OMR answer sheet is treated as final for the purpose of evaluation. UPSEE Exam Pattern: A total of 150 questions were asked, including 50 from each subject- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
