So kindly tell me in detail about the features of this Library. Osmania University (OU), Hyderabad was established in 1918, is the seventh oldest in India, the third oldest in south India and the first to be established in the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad. Osmania University Digital Library is a digital service that collects, preserves, and distributes the university digital material. Digital Libraries are important tools for preserving an organization's legacy; they facilitate digital preservation and scholarly communication. This university started digitization of documents in the year 2004 with the help of Carnegie Melon University, Pittsburgh under Digital Library of India project. Almost 42,000 documents digitized covering different languages like: English, Telugu, Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi etc. and all the documents uploaded into Internet for the benefit of users.
