Garima Chauhan | Eligibility for JNCASR Can you tell me about the eligibility requirement for Integrated (Int.) Ph.D. programme in Chemical Science programme offered by Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) Bengaluru? Integrated (Int.) Ph.D. programme in Chemical Science programme is offered only for the August session of admissions in Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru. The advertisement for Int. Ph. D programme is released only during February/March every year. Minimum Requirement One should have a minimum of 55% marks at the Bachelor level [(B. Sc.) as applicable to the area]. One appearing for the final examination in Bachelor can also apply. Eligibility Criteria and Mode of Selection One with Bachelor degree in any branch of Science with Chemistry as a major and mathematics as a subject at least up to PUC (10+2 level) can apply. One who has qualified for the JAM written test for Master's are invited to apply. Selection will be through the Joint Admission test for Master's (JAM) and/or JNCASR’s written test, followed by interview for the shortlisted candidates. The JNCASR written entrance test for Chemical Science will be held only at JNCASR, Bangalore. Interviews for the shortlisted candidates will be held the same day or the following day. Scholarships/Fellowship: One will receive a scholarship of Rs. 15,000/- p.m. for the first two years. Successful students will receive M.S degree on successful completion of their course work and research project/thesis and continue for Ph.D. programme with a fellowship and fees as applicable to a Ph.
