Hi friends, I have applied for RGTU (Rajiv Gandhi Technical University), BE Wireless and Mobile Computing courses of 7th semester so friends can you provide me syllabus of the course?

Following is the syllabus of RGTU BE Syllabus of 7th Sem:

Unit- I
Antenna: propagation modes, types of fading. Model for wireless digital communication, antenna gain, antenna types, variation pattern, multiple access technique- MAC/CA, SDMA, CDMA,DAMA,PRMA, TDMA, FDMA, Cellular network organization, operations of cellular system, power control, handoff, sectorization, grade of service, traffic engineering, mobile radio propogation effects, Infinite sources, lost calls cleared, poison arrival process.

Unit- II
GSM:Services, Channels, mobility management DECT,TETRA, localization & calling, logical channels, protocols, handover, system architecture, HSCSD, security, Interfaces,radio interface, GPRS-architecture, UMTS.

Unit- III
IEEE 802.11: LAN-architecture, 802.11 a, b and g, protocol architecture, physical layer, MAClayer, HIPERLAN-protocol architecture, physical layer, MAC management, access control sub layer, MAC sub layer. Bluetooth-user scenarios- physical layer, MAC layer.

Unit-IV
Mobile IP: DHCP, Ad hoc networks: Mobile TCP, performance issue, routing in mobile host. Wireless sensor network, Characteristics, Mobile transport layer: Indirect TCP, Snooping TCP, Selective retransmission, Time out freezing, transaction oriented TCP. Introduction to WAP.

Unit V:
Intruders: password management, Intrusion detection, worms, difference biometrics and authentication system, trojan horse defense, viruses and related threads, firewall design principle.
