I am interested in the field of designing and planning to give the National Institute of Design (NID) DAT (Design Aptitude Test) Exam. Will you please provide list of courses I can join after clearing this NID DAT Exam also provide NID 2016 DAT Pattern so I prepare accordingly?

National Institute of Design, DAT is Design Aptitude Test that is held specially to determine the design abilities of aspirants

Programmes:-

Bachelor of Design

The four (4) year Bachelor of Design programme is offered in the following areas of specialization at NID's campus in Ahmedabad:

Faculty of Communication Design

Animation Film Design (15 seats)
Film & Video Communication (10 seats)
Exhibition (Spatial) Design (10 seats)
Graphic Design (10 seats)

Faculty of Industrial Design

Ceramic and Glass Design (10 seats)
Furniture Design (10seats)
Product Design (15 seats)

Faculty of Textile,Apparel & Lifestyle Accessory Design

Textile Design (15 seats)

Master of Design

The two and a half year 2.5 year Master of Design programme is offered in the following areas of specialization at NID's campuses in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Bengaluru.

NID 2016 DAT Pattern:-

Design Aptitude Test (DAT) seeks evidence of Knowledge, Comprehension, Analysis, Reasoning, Problem Solving and Creativity in the applicant.

There will be ONE question paper of 3 hours duration.
The question paper will be in English.
The question paper will carry a total of 100 marks, out of which Section A carrying 70 marks will be of multiple choice objective type questions and Section B carrying 30 marks will be of subjective type questions.
All questions are compulsory.
There will be no negative marking.

Section A

Total: 70 marks

Multiple choice objective type questions varying from 0.5 marks to 4 marks each.

Section B

Total: 30 marks

Subjective Type questions

Problem solving and Creativity based questions test the candidates’ ability to judge, evaluate, integrate, hypothesize, design or construct.
