The NIFT is a national level entrance examination which is organized by the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai in the major cities of the country. This exam is a perfect gateway to get admission in different UG and PG professional programmes in fashion technology & design field The NIFT PG Exam is Consist of the Followinf Test GAT CAT SAT Examination Pattern for GAT ) Quantitative Ability - 25 Qs 2) Communication Ability - 35 Qs 3) English Comprehension - 30 Qs 4) Analytical Ability - 30 Qs 5) General Knowledge and Current Affairs - 30 Qs GAT Syllabus ) Quantitative Ability: This sub-test is designed to test the quantitative ability of the candidates. The sub-test may include questions on Addition, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Percentage, Rate of Interest, Work and Task, Ratio and Proportion, and Distance. 2) Communication Ability: This sub-test is aimed at testing the language ability of the candidates in day to day communication in English. It includes questions on synonyms, antonyms, words with corresponding meanings, singular, plural, one word substitutes, idioms and phrases, correct spellings etc. 3) English Comprehension: This sub-test aims to test the candidate’s ability to comprehend a situation from a given passage, and test of basic English language. 4) Analytical Ability: This sub-test is designed to test the candidate’s capacity for ability of inference and logic from the given information. 5) General Knowledge and Current Affairs: This sub-test is designed to test the candidate’s general knowledge and current affairs. CAT The Creative Ability Test (CAT) assesses an applicants' intuition skill, observation ability, innovative and design ability. Use of color and illustrative abilities are also important here. Situation Test On the basis of their performace in CAT and GAT, B.Des applicants are called for another test called the Situation Test. Situation tests are meant to examine applicants' skills for material handling and innovative ability on a given situation with a given set of materials |
