The NIT, Hamirpur's mission is to achieve academic excellence in engineering, technology, architecture and science by imparting quality and value based education and to inspire our students to become responsible citizens and competent professionals with high ethical values as well as to meet the expectations of technical human resource at national and international level.

Architecture is considered one of the very essential disciplines necessary in city development and urbanization. In general it aims at building cities, roads, homes, hospitals, and other city landmarks as well as site and area planning of the city. Designing in Architecture normally includes all the artistic, philosophical, and psychological dimensions to buildings.

UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAMMES
The department offers a five-year B.Arch. degree course with ten semesters which includes six months practical training.

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
The department offers a two years M.Arch. in Sustainable Architecture.
