Should complete application for NIU Administered Study Abroad Programs

Should have student Application Agreement

Also have a course preference form

Should have a sealed official transcript with updated grades.

Undergraduate applications:
Non-NIU students must request an official transcript from the post-secondary institution they are currently attending or have most recently attended.

Student-at-Large applicants:
Non-NIU students who are applying to a program to earn graduate level credit are required to submit an official transcript showing that a baccalaureate degree was earned.

A clear and readable copy of the first page of passport.

If you have not yet applied for a passport you can indicate this on page 2 of the application.

Passport size photographs (number of photos required varies per program)

$200 deposit (check or money order) made payable to Northern Illinois University.

This deposit will be applied to your program cost if you are accepted into the program. Please staple the check to your application.
