The National University of Judicial Sciences was organised a competition with Herbert Smith Freehills association. The Herbert Smith Freehills LLP in association with the WB National University of Judicial Sciences is delighted to present the eighth edition of the NUJS Herbert Smith Freehills National Corporate Law Moot Court Competition. Prize money: Winners: Rs. 30,000 Runners up: Rs. 20,000 Best Oralist: Rs. 16,000 Best Memorial: Rs. 10,000 8th NUJS-HSF National Corporate Law Moot 2016, conducted in association with Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, London from the 26th to 28th of February, 2016. Date 26th to 28th of February, 2016 Participation The moot saw participation from seventeen law schools across the country. The participants were to argue complex commercial and arbitration law issues, based on a fictional problem set by NLS graduate and former Global General Counsel at Cipla, Murali Neelakantan. Results: Winners: The moot was won by Megha Mehta, Sharwari Kothawade, and Ayushi Agarwal from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Runners up: Priyanka Murali, Anant Gupta, and Prateek Suri from National Law University, Odisha Semi-finalists: Gujarat National Law University and Jindal Global Law School were semi-finalists in the moot. |
