Re: Oct dtu
Well the OCT imaging using tunable MEMS VCSELs is an M.Sc project In the DTU you can work on the characterization of MEMS VCSELs fabricated from DTU group. In this project an outcome is there that is a rapidly tunable MEMS-VCSEL with a centre wavelength of 1060 nm . MEMS-VCSELs have applications in telecommunication, medical diagnosis and food analysis for which their single-mode output and fast sweep rate is highly advantageous You shall work on the design of the characterization setup for OCT imaging using wavelength tunable micro-electro-mechanical-system (MEMS) vertical-cavity-surface-emitting laser (VCSEL). DTU want to classify the dynamics wavelength tuning which is important for the resolution and imaging range of OCT systems. Fiber-coupled light from the MEMS-VCSEL is split in a Mach-Zehnder Interferometer where a delay line allows characterizing the wavelength tuning dynamics. The student shallwork on the Mach-Zehnder setup and a simple OCT setup and to generate images from the combined data. Data collection is done using the graphical programming software LabVIEW. You shall get a chance to work on Fiber and free-space optics MEMS VCSELs Labview programming Contact Persons: Kresten Yvind | Building 345V, Room 174 | 4525 6366 | kryv@fotonik.dtu.dk |
