The Union Bank of India has been issued recruitment advertisement for Clerk Post. I have given following exam and got cleared. Now I want to apply for this Bank’s recruitment. But firstly tell me what is pay scale for Clerks in Union Bank of India? Also give details about other allowances?

The following scale at the 1st stage of the grade :-

Thus, the initial Basic Pay of a clerk will be Rs.11765/-

In addition to Basic Pay, clerks are eligible for the following allowances :-

(a) Dearness Allowance (DA) :
The current DA (for the month of May 2016; June 2016, July 2016 has been fixed at 41.90% of the Basic Pay).
DA in banks is revised on quarterly basis (i.e. in the months of February, May, August and November) based on the CPI as declared by Government of India.

(b) Special Allowance : This has been added in 10th BPS (wef 01/11/2012) for clerks it 7.75% on which DA is also payable

(c) HRA : This depends on the place of posting and it can be either 10% or 9% or 7.5% depending on the place of posting.
