Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan conducts KVS PGT and TGT exam for post graduate teachers and trained graduate teachers. Candidates with a Masters degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply for PGT vacancies and graduates are eligible to apply for TGT vacancies.

Selection of aspirants is done through a common written test.

Eligibility for PGT:-

Masters degree from recognized university with minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks in related subject

B.Ed or equivalent degree from recognized university.

Proficiency in teaching languages of Hindi and English

Desirable Qualification:-

Knowledge of computer applications

Upper Age Limit:- 45 years

KVS TGT Exam Paper Pattern:-

Part I will comprise of 40 multiple choice questions in English and Hindi subjects carrying 20 marks each.

Part II will consist of 160 multiple type questions of one mark each comprising of the following sections-

Current Affairs (20)
Reasoning and Numerical Ability (20)
Teaching Methodology (20)
Concerned subject (100)

The test will be of three hours duration.
