South Asian University (SAU) is an international university which was established by the governments of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC).




The university, was established with the aim to evolve a South Asian consciousness but now the university offers various Master and M.Phil./Ph.D. level programmes in Development Economics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Applied Mathematics, Sociology, International Relations and Law.
The university is currently providing services from Akbar Bhawan campus, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
Negative Marks for Wrong Answers:
One fourth of marks assigned to any question will be deducted in Multiple Choice Questions if the answer is wrong.
Country-Wise Quota of Seats
50% for Indians in any master level programme.
4% for Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka;
10% for Pakistan and Bangladesh;
10% seats may be allotted to applicants from outside the SAARC region;
**Merit lists will be prepared country-wise and the competition will only be amongst candidates within each country.
