Hey!! Ph. D. Entrance Test is conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University for admission Ph.D. programs for research in various streams i.e. engineering, science, management, languages, Computers, and physical education etc.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D:

a) Person having a Post Graduate Degree (Master Degree) Examination with at least 50% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average(GPA).

b) Persons having passed Post-Graduate Degree (Master Degree) Examination Law Faculty with at least 55%.


Exemption from appearing Written Test:

The candidates fulfilling one of the following conditions will be exempted from entrance examination.


i. Qualified in GATE(valid score)/GPAT(valid score)/SET/NET/JRF/SRF Examinations of apex bodies such as CSIR/UGC/ICRA/ICMR/DBT and DST inspire fellowship only.

ii. M. Phil degree completed from any Statutory Recognized University in a relevant subject.


Scheme of Examination


The Examination will consist of Paper-I and Paper-II.

Paper-I :- Research Aptitude Test
For Paper-I, examination shall be conducted online at the examination centers at Pune.
Total Marks : 100
Total Questions : 100
Each correct answer carries 1 Mark.
Duration: 90 Minutes

Paper-I consists of 3 Parts.
a. Language competency
b. Numerical ability
c. Logical Reasoning

Paper-II : - Subject specific Test
Total Marks : 100
Multiple Choice Question : 20 Marks
Theoretical/Descriptive Questions : 80 Marks

-University Copy of Bank Challan

-Attested Xerex Copy of Mark List of Master's Degree

-Attested Xerox Copy of Caste Certificate in case of Reserved Categories (If Applicable)

-Attested Xerox Copy of Medical Certificate issued by Civil Surgeon in case of person with disabilities (P.H.) candidates (If Applicable)

-Attested Copy of Medical Certificate in case of candidates exempted as per University Circulars

-Attested copy of previous result of Ph. D. Entrance Examination Paper- I (if applicable)
