As per my knowledge, Manipal University does not offer MBA (Master in Business Administration) in Pharma program but it offers M Pharm Pharmaceutical Administration. It was introduced in 1972 and is highly dynamic course makes student employable in project management, IPR management, marketing research, business development, human resource management, regulatory affairs, IT healthcare management and big data management. The brief outline of the courses included under MPharm Pharmaceutical Administration in First Year is as follows: • Principles of Management: Focuses on learning theory and cases in management theories, decision making models, communication process, organizational behavior, leadership and motivational theories, corporate social responsibility, innovative management practices, marketing research and human resource management • Principles of Pharmaceutical Marketing: Involves a detailed study on pharmaceutical industry (Indian and Global), consumer behavior, strategic marketing, product management, supply chain management, pricing strategies, personal selling and advertisement and rural marketing • Disease Management: Deals with pathophysiology, drug therapy and clinical analysis of rational use of drugs in communicable and non-communicable diseases/disorders Health economics, pharmacoepidemiology, personalized therapy and outcomes research. • Regulatory Environment and Intellectual Property Rights: Focus on learning of global and domestic regulatory environment covering drug approval processes of major countries, ICH, GCP, GLP, cGMP, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Policy and documentation. • Managerial Economics and Financial Management: Emphases on application of economic and financial theories in business management such as demand analysis, forecasting, production and cost management, pricing strategies, capital investments, accounting concepts, financial statements, budgeting and valuation concepts.
