The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore is a premier national graduate school in India. It was established in 1999. IIIT-Bangalore is promoted by the government of Karnataka.

Ph. D. program-

Ph. D. (Doctor of Philosophy) degree is a terminal, research-oriented degree in the subject, intended to prepare students for research, teaching, and scholarly careers in academic settings or research laboratories.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should complete Master degree with good academic score and technical track record from any authorized board.

Applicants will pay non refundable application fee of Rs.1000/-

Selection procedure-

On the basis of GATE/GRE scores, candidates will be selected for admission.

Fees-

The tuition fees for PhD program is INR 30,000/- per semester till the submission of the thesis

In addition, residential students currently pay approximately INR 3000/- towards hostel rent per month and approximately INR 4000/- per month for food expense (these rates are subject to revision from time to time; other costs for books and supplies, travel, purchase of a laptop, etc., need to be factored by students depending on their individual circumstances)
