The Physician Executive MBA (PEMBA) program at the University of Tennessee is a preeminent, nationally ranked degree program exclusively for physicians seeking leadership, management, and business skills. The innovative blended-mode course combines distance learning (about 24 hours a week of class time and assignments) with four one-week residence periods on the University of Tennessee campus. Admission Criteria To be considered for the Physician Executive MBA program, you must: -meet requirements for admission to the University of Tennessee Graduate School -meet requirements for our individual program. Graduate School Admission Admission to graduate school for Physician Executive MBA candidates includes the following requirements: -A medical doctorate (MD or DO) from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent (MBBS, MB ChB, BM, BMed). -GMAT scores are not required. -A minimum grade-point average of 2.7 out of a possible 4.0, or a 3.0 during the senior year of undergraduate study. -Proficiency in spoken and written English. International applicants whose native language is not English must have taken the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) within the last two years. Program Fee The 2016 program fee for the Physician Executive MBA is $76,000.
