Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) Tamilnadu, Chennai TRB Eligibility i.e Minimum Qualification for Lecturer (Engineering and Non-Engineering) posts are as follows: For Engineering Eligibility: Lecturer posts for (Engineering Subjects) [Civil, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, EIE, Computer Science Engineering, Plastic Technology, Chemical Technology and Architectural Assistantship] A First Class Bachelor’s Degree in the Branch of Engineering relating to the Post Concerned. For Non-Engineering Eligibility Lecturer posts for (Non-Engineering Subjects) [English / Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry] A First Class Master’s Degree in the Appropriate Branch of Study Syllabus for Tamilnadu SLET Exam: Paper-I: There will be general nature intended to assess the teaching/ research aptitude. This paper is designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension divergent thinking and general awareness. Paper-I shall consist of sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two marks each, out of which the candidate would be required to answer only fifty (50). Paper-II: In this paper you will encounter 50 compulsory objective type questions. You must mark their responses for questions of paper-I and paper-II on the optical mark reader (OMR) sheet provided along with the test booklet. Paper-III: There will be only descriptive questions from the syllabus of the subject selected by you. You will be required to write answers in the space provided in the test booklet. The qualified aspirants from the paper-I and Paper-II, will be proceeding to Paper-III.
