Procedure for admission in any state level government polytechnic colleges you will have to appear for polytechnic exam conducted by that particular state board exam committee.This exam is taken every year after the state level engineering exams.

Eligibility for Polytechnic Colleges in Maharashtra:
-Candidates need to pass the SSC (Standard X) board examination or the Higher Secondary Examination along with 55% of marks.
-For the candidates of backward class category, 45% marks is enough for them either in SSC or Higher secondary examination.
-Candidates should process with some general subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English etc. in their Standard X or Higher secondary examination.

Exam Pattern
-The questions will be asked from the subjects like physics, chemistry and Maths.
-The maximum number of questions are asked from class 10.
-However you should prepare yourself by keeping in view the syllabus of class 8,9,10.
