As per your need, I am going to describe you step by step procedure to join an Indian Police Service (IPS), give attention on following details. The Indian Police Service (IPS) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Eligibility Criteria for IPS: Age Criteria: Applicant age should be between 21 years to 30 years. 5 years age relaxations given to SC/ST categories students and 3 years age relaxations given to OBC categories students Nationality: A citizen of India, or A subject of Nepal, or A subject of Bhutan, or A Tibetan refugee, or A person of Indian origin Education: Applicant need to pass a gradation degree form recognized university. Applicants who are in final year or who are waiting for the results may also eligible to apply. How to apply: The Applicant needs to send an online application to apply for the IPS. The online application form avails at the official website of the UPSC. The online application has two parts, in first part applicant need to fill the profile and in second part application needs to upload his/her signature and photograph. Selection procedure: Selection of the candidate depends on the followings Prelim Exam Mains Exam Interview The Students who clear the prelim exam, applicable to seat in mains exam, the selected candidate form the mains exam will be called for the interview. Written exam Pattern: Prelim Exam It contains two papers; both papers are objective in nature. Paper 1 200 marks Paper 2 200 marks Mains Exam: This exam contains 9 papers, form these students can choose 5 papers as per their choice. |
