Space scientist is generally known as astronomer. To become a space scientist you have to firstly passed 12th grade examination with physics, mathematics and chemistry subject with good marks .

After that you have to take admission in B tech or BE course in space sciences or space engineering stream . after completing you have to pass M tech course in space engineering .

After that you can get admission in PHD with space science subject , after Phd you can join ISRO for space research through entrance examination or apply for NASA examination ..
