I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University (PTU) was established in 1997 under the Punjab Technical University Act, 1996(Punjab Act No. 1 of 1997) to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the state of Punjab at the degree level and above.

The program which is a two year course costs almost Rs. 12, 000 per semester. Maximum time that a candidate can take to finish the program is four years

The course has a minimum time period of 2 years to be completed from the time of admission. Whereas the maximum time period to complete one’s MBA distance learning program from PTU is 4 years.

A candidate can choose from the four basic specializations, namely - Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, and Information Technology (IT).
