The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is the urban body that oversees Pune, the second biggest city of Maharashtra. Set up on 15 February 1950, the official energy of the organization is vested in the civil magistrate, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer selected by the Maharashtra state government.

The corporation comprises of specifically chose corporators headed by a mayor. The leader has couple of official forces. PMC is responsible for the city needs and foundation of the city.

Pune is separated into forty-eight civil wards, each spoke to by 3 individuals and regulated by a partner city chief for authoritative purposes. The corporators of the organization are chosen by the general population through a prominent vote, and all the state political gatherings partake in the decision.
