Department of Microbiology of University of Pune was established in 1977 offers course in Microbiology leading to M.Sc. and Ph. D. Thrust areas of research include bacterial molecular biology, microbial physiology and applied microbiology. Eligibility B.Sc.(Microbiology Principal) (for Pune University candidates only) B.Sc. (at least Microbiology at subsidiary level in TY) (for candidates passing from other University) Minimum Percentage Required Open 50% Reserved 45% Attested true copies of the following documents (one copy of each) at admission time: 1. Attested true copy of statement of marks of every year/semester of the qualifying examination 2. Attested true copy of Transference /leaving certificate of previously attended educational institution. 3. Attested true copy of Migration certificate of previously attended University. 4. Attested true copy of Reserved Category Certificate from the competent authority. 5. Attested true copy of Non creamy layer certificate if Candidate belongs to NT-C, NT-D, or OBC Category. 6. Attested true copy of Birth / Domicile / school leaving certificate. 7. Relevant documentary proof to avail admission through quota Reservations Legal Reservations Category Reservation Percentage SC 13 % ST 7 % DT (A) 3 % NT (B) 2.5 % NT (C) 3.5 % NT (D) 2 % OBC 19 % Social Reservations 3% seats over and above the approved intake capacity are reserved for Physically handicapped candidates. 3 % seats over and above the approved intake capacity are reserved for the students participating at the National level/State level/University level Sports and cultural competitions. 5% seats reserved for children of Defence Personnel /Ex-servicemen One migrant student from Jammu and Kashmir, per course over and above the sanctioned intake capacity admitted as per the merit in entrance exam. |
