Punjab Food Inspector Exam is conducted by the Punjab Government to induct Inspectors (Group B ) in the pay-scale Rs. 10300 - Rs. 34800 with grade pay of Rs. 4200 and initial pay of Rs.16290 in Department of Food and Civil Supplies, Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification:

The Candidate should be a graduate from a recognized University or an Institution or its equivalent and the candidate should have passed Punjabi Language subject upto Matric standard.


Age Limits

For SC/BC 18 to 43 years
For Widows, Divorcees and certain other categories of women 18 to 42 years
For Applicants who are already in Government Service 18 to 45 years
For Physically Handicapped 18 to 48 years

Trigonometry, Numerical Calculations, Charts and Tables respectively

General Knowledge:
Current Affairs: Current Affairs related to Trade and Economy of India, Indian Political System, Indian Judiciary System, Sports, Culture and Science & Technology related issues respectively

Language /Verbal Ability: Questions based on Comprehension, Grammar Based Questions, Essay Writing in both the languages – Hindi and English, Vocabulary Test and Sentence Formation respectively

Computer Proficiency: Fundamental Concepts of Computers, Operating System Operations respectively
