Students seek admission to First Year of various B. Tech courses through JEE Main score in Punjabi University Patiala. It is compulsory for all engineering candidates to appear for JEE Main as per the notice by the Dept. of Technical Education & Engineering Training to be qualified for entrances to the B. Tech courses in Punjab. One who has qualified the Joint Engineering Entrance Exam should apply online from the specified university websites.

Selection Criteria

• One has to pass 10+2 from the Punjab State Board or an equal known board, with a bare minimum of 50% in total.
• One must have emerged in JEE Main and score meet the criteria marks.
• In intermediate, one should have studied Physics and Mathematics as necessary subjects with elective subjects being Computer Science, Biology or Chemistry.
• One who has approved an Engineering diploma from Punjab State Board of Technical Education or SLIET is also qualified.
• One who has passed a two year diploma course from SLIET is also eligible.

Admission Process

One will be selected for the B. Tech Programmes on the basis of JEE merit. Punjab B.Tech Admission Counselling will have two rounds of Counselling.

One should pay the application fee either online and offline process. Online applicants can pay the fees to Punjab technical university, through the Internet Banking using Credit card/Debit card. Offline applicants can pay the fee through the cash payment in any of the banks.

Once the payment is paid the candidates will be eligible for the counselling. Candidates must apply online using JEE Main Roll number.

One has to fill the choices and submit them for the seat allotment. After filling the choices, candidates can take the printout of the filled choices for future admission process.
