The Quality Improvement Programme(QIP) was propelled by Government of India in 1970. The primary goal of the system is to update the aptitude and capacities of educators of the AICTE endorsed degree-level building foundations, National Institutes of Technology (NIT)s of the nation. The system is presently being executed and checked by the National QIP Coordination Committee, financed by AICTE. The 8 QIP Centers (at the 7 IITs, and IISc.) attempt the different exercises recorded previously. Admissions to Master's and/or Ph.D. projects are likewise embraced in chose zones in extra 20 perceived establishments for M.Tech and 52 perceived foundations for PhD. An extensive number of employees from AICTE-perceived degree-level building foundations from everywhere throughout the nation have sought after Master's and Ph. D. degree programs. These are gone for enhancing the standard and nature of specialized training through change of the capabilities of the employees in the different designing establishments.
