The Dairy Development Department was set up in 1958 in Tamilnadu. The regulatory and statutory control over all the drain cooperatives in the State were exchanged to the Dairy Development Department on 1.8.1965. With the selection of 'Anand design' in the State of Tamilnadu, Tamilnadu Co-agent Milk Producers' Federation Limited was enlisted in the State on first February 1981. Madhavaram Dairy
