Indira Gandhi National Open University, Regional Centre for Rajasthan was established on 16th December 1987 in Kota vide statue of section 5 (2) xxxi of IGNOU Act, and later in 1990 this Regional Centre office was shifted to Jaipur, The State Capital of Rajasthan.
