Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Conducts Exams for Recruitment of Grade B officers and Assistant Post RBI Exam 2016 Date: Phase-I Online Examination - September 4, 2016 Phase-II Online Examination - September 19, 2016 New Scheme of Selection for recruitment of officers in Grade- ‘B’ 2016 Phase-I examination will continue as per existing Phase-I examination for Grade-‘B’ (DR), Phase-II examination will consist of three papers Subject Time (Minutes) Total Marks Paper-I on Economic and Social Issues (Objective) 90 100 Paper-II on English (Writing Skills- Descriptive) 90 100 Paper-III on Finance and Management 90 100 Pattern of Examination Phase I examination 1 Paper 200 Marks Total number of MCQ Questions: 200 Time: 2 hours Phase-II: examination Three Papers – 300 marks Paper-I – online- English-( writing skills)- 1½ hours – 100 marks Paper-II – Economic and Social Issues – 1½ hours – 100 marks Paper-III – Optional Paper (Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics) – 1½ hours – 100 mark RBI Grade B Officer (DR) Exam Syllabus : Reasoning Syllabus: 60 Questions 60 Marks: The higher level reasoning questions are expected in this section. Questions are expected to be confusing and consuming more time. Expected sections are Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Seating Arrangements, Blood Relations, Statements and assumptions, Decoding the codes, Symbol encodings and patterns, Non verbal Reasoning Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus: 30 Questions 30 marks: As in the other sections, the syllabus for QA is identical to bank PO exams, but in addition to that questions from Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra and Mensuration are also asked in grade B examination. Other important topics are Time and Distance, Time and work, Interest calculation (both simple and compound) Averages. The difficulty level is expected to be moderate. General Awareness: 80 Questions 80 Marks: Most of the questions will be related to the happenings in the Indian economy, especially current affairs in economical matters. About 70% of questions are expected from this area and the rest from GK and other current affairs. Have an eye on current budget, RBI policies, economic survey, banking laws and amendments. Indian banking system, security and currency market and the like English Language: 30 questions 30 marks: Probably the easiest of the 4 sections, questions are asked from voabulary, antonyms and synonyms, sentence re arrangement, fill in the blanks, correction of sentences and the like. |
