Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is the main investigation agency of India. It handles and investigates complex and intricate cases which are referred to it by the state investigative agencies or governments.

To be an ASI in Central Bureau of Investigation candidates has to undergo a selection process of written and oral exams conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

Eligibility Criteria for ASI in CBI:

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have Bachelors degree in any stream.

Age Limit:
Candidate must have attained the age of 20 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have attained 27 years of age on that date.

Upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Physical Requirements:
a. Height
i. For men -165cms.
ii. For women -150cms
Height relax able for Hillsmen and Tribals: 5cms

b. Chest:
76cms. with expansion

c. Vision:
Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)
Distant Vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye.
NearVision: 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye
