Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology KIIT is a co-educational, autonomous university located at Patia, Bhubaneswar in the Indian state of Odisha.

KIIT college of engineering has been ranked 5th among all National Level Self Financing Universities in India

Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), a constituent of KIIT University, features among top 30 medical colleges of the country, according to a survey by Mumbai-based Mainline Media, The Pioneer in 2012.

It has been ranked 18th among private engineering institutes and 7th in placement in 2008 by Outlook India.

KIIT School of Management has been nominated as the mentor institution by AICTE for conducting faculty development program in eastern India

In 2016, the university was placed 32nd in the NIRF India Rankings 2016 organised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

All the academic programmes are accredited by NAAC of UGC and NBA of AICTE, which are benchmarks of excellence.

NAAC has awarded KIIT the coveted "A" grade accreditation.

KIIT secured a CGPA of 3.48/4 (87%), joining the league of 11 elite institutions like IITs, JNU, TISS and the likes.

UGC also awarded KIIT the highest grade "A".

Bar Council of India (BCI) has approved the courses of KIIT Law School which offers five years integrated courses in law.

It received accreditation by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) of UGC for its Degree in Engineering, MCA and MBA programs.

The MBBS course is approved by the Medical Council of India and the Dental course is similarly approved by Dental Council of India.

It has been ranked as 16th in India, 5th among private universities, and 4th in the eastern region in the year 2009 by Times of India

It has also been ranked 18 th among private engineering institutes and 7 th in placement in 2008 by Outlook India

It has been ranked 5th among private engineering colleges in India by The Pioneer in 2012.
