What is the minimum eligibility required for Rhodes scholarship to study in Oxford University UK?? The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting exceptional all-round students at the University of Oxford. Host Institution(s): Oxford University in UK Number of Scholarships: 83 Scholars is selected each year Eligibility: - You should be graduates in Humanities, Sciences, Medicine, Law, Engineering, Agriculture or any other stream from a recognised University of India with minimum 60% aggregate marks. -Final year undergraduates with good academic record may also be considered. -Selection of Rhodes Scholars is made without regard to gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, colour, religion, sexual orientation, social background, or disability. -Rhodes' legacy specified four standards by which applicants were to be judged: Literary and scholastic attainments; Truth, courage, devotion to duty, sympathy for and protection of the weak, kindliness, unselfishness and fellowship; Energy to use one's talents to the fullest Moral force of character Target group: Australia, Bermuda, Kenya, New Zealand, Pakistan, Southern Africa, United States, Zambia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Jamaica and Commonwealth Caribbean, and Zimbabwe. Scholarship value/inclusions: Rhodes Scholarship covers: -All University and College fees; - The University application fee; - A personal stipend which is fixed by the Trustees (£13,390 per annum 2013-14); - Private health insurance, currently offered through BUPA; - One economy class airfare to Oxford at the start of the scholarship and one economy flight back to the student’s home country at the conclusion of the scholarship. Application instructions: -Applications for Rhodes Scholarships open during the spring and summer of the preceding year. -The selection of Rhodes Scholars is overseen by a National Secretary in each Rhodes country.
