Re: RPET Marking Scheme
Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Indian Institutes of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs. The States of Gujarat, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) – JEE Main Negative Marking scheme The exam is conducted in both online and offline modes such as Pen and Paper Based Examination and the other mode is Computer Based Test. The total marks for paper 1 are 360 and for paper 2 are 460. Each question carries 4 marks for a correct answer. The 25% of the marks is reduced for the wrong answer. If a candidate selects two options, and if one option is correct, then it is treated as a wrong answer. The JEE main negative marking is provided for that question. JEE Main Exam Pattern: Paper 1: JEE Main question paper of paper 1 comprises questions from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, and all questions will have equal weightage. Check exam pattern below- Subject Number of questions Marks per question Physics 30 4 Chemistry 30 4 Mathematics 30 4 Total 90 360 Candidates had to mark only one response for each question out of four responses given. One-fourth marks will be deducted for indicating incorrect response of each question. If no response is indicated for a question, then no deduction from the total score will be made. Paper 2: Paper 2 will consist of following three parts- Part I - Mathematics Part II - Aptitude Test Part III - Drawing Test The exam will be of 3 hours duration. |
