Saarang is an annual cultural festival conducted by the students of Indian Institute of Technology IIT Madras.

This festival was formerly called 'Mardi Gras'.

It is usually held during the last week of January every year.

During the week-long festival, students organize events like music shows, quizzes, lectures, fashion shows etc.

Students from various colleges in the city and other parts of the country participate in the festival.

Saarang 2016 was conducted from 06-Jan-2016 to 10-Jan-2016

The 50 Events, 20 Workshops, 5 Professional shows and a series of well acclaimed lectures and video conferences was conducted.
