SBI Clerk exam is one of the most sought after exam in the banking sector. Banking aspirants in large number appear for the exam every year. The post offers good salary and benefits. State Bank of India every year comes up with huge number of vacancies for recruitment to the posts of clerical cadres. Eligibility Criteria Age Limit Lower Age: Candidates must not below than 20 years Upper Age: Candidates must not above than 28 years Age Relaxation: The relaxation in upper age limitwill be provided to reserved category candidates. The table given below shows category wise age relaxation for candidates appearing in SBI Clerk 2017 SBI Clerk Reservation Criteria Candidate’s Category Age Relaxation SC / ST 5 years Other Backward Classes (OBC) 3 years General (PWD) 10 years SC /ST (PWD) 15 years OBC PWD 13 years Educational qualification: For Junior Associates: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government For Junior Agricultural Associates: Graduation in Agriculture or Agriculture allied activities from a Government recognised university/Institute Examination Pattern : Prelims Examination – The total mark for the Preliminary Examination will be 100 marks comprising of three sections – English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. There is also provision for negative marking. Candidates will have to qualify in all the three sections to be shortlisted for the Mains Examination. Candidates will also have to secure the sectional and overall cutoff Mains Examination The duration of the Mains exam will be 2 hours 40 minutes comprising of 200 marks. There was four section in the Mains Exam of SBI Clerk 2016 – Reasoning & Computer Ability, General & Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and General English. There is also provision for negative. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. SBI has dispensed of the Interview, therefore, candidates will be selected on the basis of the performance in the Mains Examination. Candidates sufficiently high in the merit will be provided appointment |
