One will get admission form for B. Arch courses at School of Planning Architecture for the additional intake of 40 seats 2016 whose last date to apply is 29th August 2016 from its office only. It’s not available online.

Admission Criteria for Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch)

Eligibility for Admission: Qualifying exam


• 12th Standard/Pre-university course or equivalent with Minimum 50% or above, 45% or above for OBC, SC and ST (Maths and English compulsory)
OR
• 10+3 Diploma (Architecture, Civil & Interior Design) or equivalent recognised by Central/ State Governments with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
OR
• International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of exam
OR
• Diploma in Interior Design (completed at The School of Planning and Architecture, UOM only) with minimum 50% aggregate marks (course is discontinued from academic yr 2013-14-admission only for students admitted till academic yr 2012-13)

Mode of Admission: Aptitude Test
• National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) conducted by ‘Council of Architecture’ through academic unit ‘National Institute of Advanced studies in Architecture’ (NIASA) with Min 40% (as per prevalent NATA regulation)
• Any other Aptitude Test approved by Human Resource Department(HRD) Ministry, GOI

Criteria for selection
Merit is determined on the basis of candidates’ performance in the qualifying Examination and Aptitude Test. The Weigthtage shall be as follows:-
• 50% for qualifying Exam
• 50% for Aptitude Test –NATA

Seat Matrix
Total No. of Seats is distributed as per the following:
50% - as per reservations policy of Government of Karnataka
50% - as per reservation policy of Government of India

Course Duration
• 10 Semesters i.e. 5years.
