SCRA English Question Paper

I need previous year English question paper of Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) exam conducted by UPSC or Union Public Service Commission, can you tell me will I get previous year English question paper of SCRA exam fro the official website of UPSC only?

The Special Class Railway Apprentices exam by UPSC for the 12th passed or graduates degree is being organized every year.

UPSC SCRA exam is being given by large number of candidates every year. The examination is organized to choose the candidates for the mechanical department in railways.

Here I’m attaching PDF of SCRA English Question Paper:

SCRA General Ability test is being conducted by UPSC so as to test the candidate’s abilities for General Abilities.

UPSC SCRA GAT Exam has a specified exam pattern which is being followed while making up the question paper.
There are total 120 questions in the exam paper all of objective type.

PART A- It has 60 questions of 1 mark each.

PART B- IT has 60 questions which are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

The questions in this paper are of following type:

Sentence Improvement
Synonyms
Antonyms
Comprehension passages
Selecting words
Ordering of Words in Sentence
Statements and Conclusions
Statement Comprehension

General Ability questions:

Direction (For the 15 items which follow):

In this Section you have five short passages. After each passage, you will find several questions based on the passage. First, read a Passage, and then answer the questions based on it. You are required to select your answer based on the contents of the passage and opinion of the author only.

Passage-I

People start smoking various reasons. Sometimes they get into this habit because they feel it makes them look sophisticated. People may get hooked to this habit. Then smoking becomes a part of their lifestyle. They become addicted to the nicotine in the cigarettes. However. there is a definite link between smoking and lung cancer. heart disease and chronic bronohitis. Besides heavy smokers wrinkle faster. Passive smoking is equally harmful. Non-smokers are cautioned not to stay around smokers. The inhalation of smoke by non-smokers is dangerous. Wives of smokers are more at risk of lung cancer than the wives of non-smokers.

When I was a little boy I said I would marry the daughter of the harness-maker who lived next door. She was a littel girl with blue eyes and a flaxen pigtail. She would have kept my house like a new pin, and I should have a son to carry on the business after me.
