I want to do M.Tech (Technology and Development) programme at CTARA, IIT Bombay so can you please provide me the details of the program? Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay offers M.Tech. in Technology and Development program. M.Tech. in Technology and Development M.Tech. in Technology and Development at CTARA is an interdisciplinary course. Students do courses oriented in technology, policy and development theory. Their courses and project work cover the areas of Food & agriculture, Water and sanitation, Energy and environment, Rural and regional planning, Policy and governance, Appropriate technology, Livelihoods, among others. Prerequisites- You need a valid GATE score & first class or 60% marks for General category (55% for SC/ST) in your qualifying degree for admission in a TA/PA/RA category. For the sponsored category you need to have a minimum two years of experience in development related work. A valid GATE score is not mandatory for the sponsored category. Knowledge of your respective stream of graduation is sufficient while joining the program.
